The podcast where we discuss the news of the week.
This week, Abhinandan Sekhri, Manisha Pande and Raman Kirpal are joined by Khurram Husain, a prominent business journalist from Pakistan, and Shabbir Ahmed, senior news editor at the News Minute.
The conversation begins with Pakistan’s food crisis and the country’s economic situation as Khurram explains how a shortage of foreign exchange is exacerbating the problem. “Businessmen are finding it very hard to open LCs, to arrange imports of essential raw materials,” he says while pointing to poor political management.
The discussion moves to recent political controversies surrounding Tamil Nadu governor RN Ravi. “This is the first time the Tamil Nadu assembly is seeing a governor walking out of the assembly, and it was dramatic,” says Shabbir. Abhinandan adds that the situation isn’t going to help the BJP in Tamil Nadu.
