A few chairs scattered about the pavement serve as the waiting area for relatives of Covid patients admitted in Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. They aren’t allowed inside. Ajay Kumar Mallick, 65, sat in one of the chairs with a sunken face. His wife had been on oxygen support for 24 hours and he did not know if her condition was improving.
