No, Lok Sabha website has not censored BJD MP’s speech on beef lynchings
The Congress-run National Herald reported yesterday that the Lok Sabha website has censored Biju Janata Dal Member of Parliament Tathagata Satpathy’s speech on lynching. The Odisha MP had delivered a speech on incidents of lynchings and gau rakshaks on June 31, 2017 in Parliament. National Herald erroneously claimed that several parts of the “firebrand speech” were taken off the website. The complete speech can be read on the website under the “Uncorrected Debate” section. Compare it to the video and you’ll see it is presented verbatim. What Herald seems to be referring to is the truncated version that is published under the synopsis section.
