UP Covid Disaster
How is Modi's adopted village coping with Covid?
Rajkumar Yadav, newly elected pradhan of Jayapur, the Uttar Pradesh village adopted by prime minister Narendra Modi in 2014, says at least 10 of his fellow villagers have died from Covid in recent weeks but none have been counted officially.
Rajkumar and other villagers complain about the lack of healthcare facilities. The only primary health centre at Jayapur has been all but nonfunctional since its inauguration.
