TV Newsance 156: When will farmers go back? Poochta hai TV media
This week, we look at how some of our TV news anchors covered Modi’s farm laws repeal and the continuing farmers’ agitation at Singhu and Tikri.
Rubika Liyaquat on ABP News and Rajat Sharma on India TV wondered when farmers would go back. Navika Kumar on Times Now and Sudhir Chaudhary on Zee News took some consolation in poetry. Meanwhile, Aaj Tak was hailing farmers, for a short while at least. Arnab Goswami gets 10 on 10 for consistency – he continued to call the movement anti-India.
Why are farmers continuing with their agitation? Why do they want a legal guarantee on MSP? When will tents at Singhu be removed? If you have similar questions, then watch the show.
Meanwhile, a meeting of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat with some top Noida anchors hit headlines. We look at what it means for journalists and journalism.
