Indian Express relaunches film magazine SCREEN after 11 years
The Indian Express relaunched its film magazine SCREEN in an event in Mumbai on Friday, after a hiatus of 11 years. It’s first digital cover was also launched at the event.
The magazine, which first began publishing in 1951, was reintroduced with actor Shraddha Kapoor on its cover. The actor also headlined the event and was joined by filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and actor Vijay Varma.
The magazine, which covered Indian cinema over the decades, has now returned in a new avatar. The publication said that Indian Express’s entertainment section, “which consistently attracts between 20 million and 45 million unique users a month on the website, will now be rebranded as SCREEN”.
Earlier this year, the publication began “Expresso”, a series of live conversations on culture, featuring personalities from the entertainment, art, and culture industries.
