Areeb Hashmi

Areeb Hashmi is an award-winning filmmaker with over twelve years of experience in documentary filmmaking. His work has been published by BBC, CNN, Huffington Post, The New York Times and Amazon Prime. He has worked with various international organizations like Greenpeace, Video Volunteers and WaterAid UK, heading their video production departments in India. Since 2015 he has been working as a freelancer and have completed multiple assignments for Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), World Wildlife Fund (WWF), South China Morning Post (SCMP), Al Jazeera and many others. He has extensively covered social and environmental issues in India, Bhutan, Portugal, Hungary and Belgium.
